Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOPB)

Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad is a well established Sarawakian plantation company listed on Bursa Malaysia main board. The principal activities of the company are cultivation of oil palms and operation of palm oil mills. In line with our expansion programme, we are seeking for dynamic individuals and suitable candidates to apply for the following positions:-

1. CHEMIST (Based in Bintulu)

Requirement:-
- Possess a Degree in Bachelor or Science in chemical / biochemical or any related science degree.
- At least 2 years of related working experience.
- Good written and verbal skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and preferably Mandarin.
- Able to think analytically and possess good problem solving skills.
- Able to carry out a written methodology in a laboratory context.


2. REFINERY ENGINEER (Based in Bintulu)

Requirement:-
- Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years working experience in Manufacturing Industry.


3. MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (ENGINEERING)(Based in Mill)

Requirements:
- Preferably possess a Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
- Must be prepared to work in rural conditions.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.


4. MILL ENGINEER/ASSISTANT ENGINEER (Based in Mill)

Requirements:
- Preferably possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline
- Successful attended PORIM/ MPOB Diploma in Palm Oil Milling Technology.
- Possesses minimum Second Grade Steam Engineer, Competency Certificate.
- At least 5 years working experience in palm oil mill.
- Must be prepared to work in rural conditions.


5. FOREMAN (Based in Mill)

Requirement:
- Vocational / MLVK / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from technical institute.
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in palm oil mill.
- Able to lead a team of fitters, parts ordering & control work operation.


6. MECHANIC (Based in Mill)

Requirements:
- Vocational / MLVK / Certificate in Automotive Engineering for technical institute.
- At least 3 years related working experience.
- Must be prepared to work in rural conditions.


7. PROJECT ENGINEER (C&S) (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Possess minimum a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Prefer 2 to 3 years of working experiences in supervision of building or infrastructural works.


8. PROJECT ENGINEER (M & E) (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Possess minimum a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Prefer 2 to 3 years of working experiences in supervision of M & E project.


9. SITE SUPERVISOR (C&S) (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Possess minimum a Diploma in Building Technology or Civil Engineering.
- At least 2 to 3 years working experience in Civil & Structural works and Building & Architectural works.


10. SITE SUPERVISOR (M & E) (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Possess minimum a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 to 3 years working experience in supervision of M & E project.


11. QUANTITY SURVEYOR (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Preferable 1 or 2 years experience in Quantity Taking Off, Cost Estimation and Contract Administration


12. PURCHASING ASSISTANT (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree holder.
- Experience in clerical work & other office administrative tasks will be an advantage.
- Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and preferably Mandarin.
- Computer Literate


13. ACCOUNT CLERK (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Minimum SPM/STPM/LCCI Certificates
- Preferably with related working experience and knowledge in bookeeping.
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia & English.
- Computer literate.


14.ACCOUNT ASSISTANT (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting / C.A.T or ACCA finalist.
- Preferably with related working experience.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and computerized accounting systems.
- Fresh Degree holders in Accounting are encouraged to apply.


15. ADMIN ASSISTANT/EXECUTIVE (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Degree in any Secretarial/Legal/ Administration or other relevant field with minimum 2 years related working experience in legal firm will be an advantage.
- Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia.
- Computer literate


16. ACCOUNTANT (Based in Miri)

Requirements:
- Must be members of the Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA).
- Degree in Accountancy from recognized institution or professional bodies such as CIMA/ ACCA/ MACPA or equilevant.
- At least 3 years working experience in similar capacity.
- Posses strong leadership analytical and resourceful.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
